My favorite actor Tom Hanks

Tom one of the most respected actor in the film industry, beside an actor, Tom Hanks is a director, scriptwriter and producer, and it seems that everything is fit in him. He has been gift two Oscars for Philadelphia and Forrest Gump, plus three other nominations. And her charm has made it one of the most beloved by the public.


Thomas Jeffrey Hanks (July 9, 1956) actor and producer of the Oscar winner and Golden Globe award, considered one of the most versatile and talented in the history of cinema. It is also the only player in the second half of the twentieth century that has two Academy Awards in a row.

Tom Hanks made his first contact with their interpretation during school time, and continued with his performances when he entered the university. Over time, if he stopped being an actor to become a hobby vocation. So Tom decided to leave school to pursue acting professionally.

He debuted in cinema in 1980 with know that you're alone, a thriller series that became more B penalty glory. Shortly after he was offered a role in the Bosom Buddies: The success of the series that made Tom Hanks's name became popular.

His first prominent work on the big screen was the comedy One, two, three ... splash, which starred with Daryl Hannah into a mermaid. In the following years was involved in a series of films rather smaller than allowed to gain audience with a naturalness and sense of humor. And in 1988 came the comedy Big, in which he gave an amusing interpretation of a child trapped in an adult body, which earned him an Oscar nomination.

1993 brought another big hit with the romantic comedy “Something to Remember” where for the second time coincided with Meg Ryan: they had worked together on Joe to the volcano, in “You’ve Got Mail”. Established as an actor and comedian, in the same year he won the respect of critics and his first Oscar with his portrayal of a lawyer having AIDS in the drama Philadelphia.

A year later he capture again for the Oscar in his role at the hit “Forrest Gump”, becoming the first actor in over 50 years to get two consecutive statuettes. And would not be his last contact with the Academy Awards and was also nominated for “Saving Private Ryan” (1998.

Moreover, Hanks made his debut as a director on television in the early 90s. In 1996, after the camera was released in the cinema, directing, writing and playing “The Wonders”. Since then he has continued in line with the success of the Coen brothers' “Ladykillers” and “The Terminal,” which shares parts with Catherine Zeta-Jones.

His latest work is The Da Vinci Code, to the big screen adaptation of a literary bestseller that stars with Audrey Tatou and Jean Reno.
